Jesús Ilundáin-Agurruza is an associate professor of Philosophy and Allen and Pat Kelley Faculty Scholar at Linfield College in Oregon (USA). His main areas of research and publication are the philosophy of sport, and the philosophy of art. He’s co-edited a book on Cycling & Philosophy, has published in journals such as Sports, Ethics, and Philosophy, or Proteus, and has chapters in anthologies on sports and risk, soccer, hunting, childhood and sports, and others (some in Spanish). His hearty philosophical appetite ranges from value theory and philosophy and literature to Eastern and compartive philosohy, or the philosophy of mind, and more. He’s an avid cyclist, racing as a category 2… (his best days are probably behind, but this is fine since what he enjoys most is riding hard for its own sake). Born and raised in Pamplona, Spain, he run with the bulls for a number of foolish years before “Sophia” cared to wise him up.
