Mike Austin (Ph.D., Colorado)  is an associate professor of philosophy at Eastern Kentucky University. He specializes in ethics, with a focus on issues in sport and in the family. He has published in numerous academic journals, and has four books: Conceptions of Parenthood: Ethics and the Family (Ashgate, 2007), Running and Philosophy: A Marathon for the Mind (Wiley-Blackwell, 2007), Football and Philosophy: Going Deep (University Press of Kentucky, 2008), and Wise Stewards: Philosophical Foundations of Christian Parenting (Kregel, 2009).
