From President Pam Sailors:
After much discussion and deliberation, the Executive Council, in consultation with the conference host, has come to the decision that this year’s International Association for the Philosophy of Sport conference in Split will not be held in person as planned.
COVID-19 has resulted in the implementation of travel bans and the withholding of university funding for many of our members, making an in-person conference unfeasible.
However, IAPS is planning a limited on-line conference with specifically invited keynotes and panel sessions, as well as holding the AGM.
We anticipate that this event will be held in the same conference week in September and will be free to IAPS members. More details will follow soon.
